The practical stuff — entry rules, timing, money, safety — plus how we work. Anything not here? Message us; we reply fast.
For most US, UK, EU and Canadian travellers, no visa is needed for stays up to 30 days — but the rules changed in January 2026, so everyone now pre-registers online. You must complete EASE (the electronic entry authorisation) at least 5 days before you fly and pay the airport security fee (TSA), about €31 / 3,400 CVE per person. Skip it and you pay double at the border. Register at the official portal, ease.gov.cv, and always confirm the current rule for your passport. We'll remind you and walk you through it once you book.
International flights are not included — you'll usually find a better fare booking from your home airport — but we're happy to help you find and book them, so you're never guessing. Most visitors fly into Sal (SID) or Praia, Santiago (RAI). On our Santiago + Sal combo, the inter-island flight is included and we book it for you.
Cape Verde gets around 350 days of sunshine a year, so there's no truly bad time. November–June is excellent overall; December–March is the sweet spot — warm, dry, and the best trade winds for kitesurfing on Sal. June–October brings the hottest days, calmest seas, and sea-turtle nesting on Sal. Tell us your dates and we'll tailor the trip to the conditions.
The local currency is the Cape Verdean escudo (CVE), pegged to the euro (about 110 CVE to €1). Euros are widely accepted in tourist areas, and cards work at hotels and larger restaurants — but carry some cash for markets, small shops, taxis and tips.
Portuguese is the official language and Cape Verdean Creole (Kriolu) is what you'll hear day to day. English is common in tourism. All of our guides speak English alongside Português and Kriolu, so you're never lost in translation.
It's one of Africa's most stable, welcoming countries and is generally very safe for visitors. Take the usual precautions against petty theft in crowded markets, and respect the Atlantic — currents can be strong, so swim where it's sensible. Your guide handles the local know-how throughout, and we're reachable 24/7.
As fit as you want to be. Every itinerary is a starting point we tailor to your pace. A hike like Serra Malagueta on Santiago is optional and can be scaled from gentle to challenging — or swapped for beach and culture days entirely.
Boutique and 3–4★ stays for every night, daily breakfast and a welcome dinner, all private airport and ground transfers, private local guides on every island, all listed excursions and park fees, and 24/7 in-country support. The Santiago + Sal combo also includes the inter-island flight. Not included: international airfare (we'll help you book it), the EASE/TSA entry fee, travel insurance, most lunches and dinners, and gratuities. Each trip page lists the details.
Start with a WhatsApp message or a free 20-minute consult, or reserve online with a 25% deposit straight from any trip page. We then confirm your dates, guides and availability and collect the balance before you travel. No call-centre, no pressure — you deal directly with us.
Yes — that's the whole point. Every trip is tailored. Take Santiago or Sal on their own, combine both, and choose a focused week or an unhurried two. Add nights, build around a honeymoon, a family or a group — tell us what you want and we'll design it.
All of them. Prices shown are per person on double occupancy; solo travellers pay a single supplement, and we quote family and small-group rates on request.
It's not included and we strongly recommend it — get a policy that covers medical care, cancellation and your activities. It's the cheapest peace of mind you'll buy for the trip.
Entry requirements change — the visa/EASE details above were checked in 2026. Always confirm on ease.gov.cv and your government's travel advice for your nationality.
Ask us anything about Cape Verde — we'd rather chat than have you guess.
